Crispy Chocolate Mounds

I was looking for something to make for Lance and Preston to take as a snack for their father-son campout. Then I remembered this gift in a jar recipe I got at Christmas. These are a favorite at our house. Even my picky children love them. Hannah actually asks for them. That's a huge motive for me to make these. Old Fashioned Baked Beans

Old Fashioned Baked Beans

This came from a Taste of Home magazine and it is my favorite baked beans recipe! It's in a slow cooker so it is way easy. Whenever I make these, there's never any left. I love that it uses canned Pork and Beans. All  you do is dump it all in the slow cooker and you are free to kick your feet up with a good book and Diet Coke (or other beverage of your choice, but what else is there. Really).1 pound bacon, cooked, and cut into small pieces1/2 c. chopped onion3 (15 oz) cans of pork and … [Read more...]

Whole Wheat Banana Bread

I found this on My Food Storage Deal's blog. It is so yummy! You can also just use all purpose flour too or half and half, but the wheat version tasted really good and not all "healthy". Still an indulsion! It makes 1 loaf.1 ¼ c. sugar½ c. margarine1 c. banana pulp (2 bananas)4 T. sour cream (you can use plain yogurt too, but once I was out of both and used vanilla yogurt and skipped the tsp of vanilla. Worked just fine!)2 eggs1 ½ c. flour1 t. soda1 t. vanilla½ t. saltCream butter and sugar … [Read more...]
