Grow Your Best Garden Yet

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Whitney Farms. All opinions are 100% mine. I want to talk about gardening today. Many of us have gardens of some shape or size. Even if you just have a container of tomatoes or two, you still are growing food for you and/or your family. And it goes in your mouth, right? So it makes sense that you'd want to grow the best for your family and your self, right? It makes sense to me! That's where Whitney Farms® organic plant food comes in.  … [Read more...]

Snickerdoodles

I have the perfect recipe for Snickerdoodles. You're gonna love me for it. Maybe you already use this recipe or one similar. The trick is to not over bake them. Otherwise they will be crunch, instead of chewy. And you must use the cream of tartar. It just makes them better. I always get requests to make these when we get together with Lance's family. My sil Melanie especially. So I dedicate this post to you, Melanie! Snickerdoodles   Print Cook time 8 … [Read more...]

The Crazy Brownie

I shared these on Cups by Kim a couple weeks ago. So now I'm sharing them here. I've dubbed it "The Crazy Brownie". It's part oatmeal cookie, part cake-like brownie. It's just crazy.I baked these when my mom came to visit. We like to make desserts.Like last time she came, I made the infamous Heavenly Oreo Dessert. Then I made it again when Lance was home. He still only got about 3-4 pieces of the stuff.Hey. It's there in the fridge. Totally available.Like I'm gonna deliberately give him … [Read more...]

I always celebrate Cinco de Mayo by making Mexican food. I have to. It's in my roots. Some get crazy over St. Patrick's Day but I love Cinco de Mayo.In case you don't know, that's May 5th. Wow.Spanish RiceI know it's called "Spanish" rice but it still goes perfect with any Mexican meal.Grandpa Gallegos' ChileAw, I … [Read more...]
