School is back in full swing and my kids are loving it. Emma can’t get enough of Kindergarten and I tried to tell her that she is done, only 1 week is required and now she can stay home with me. She didn’t fall for it. Hannah is having a blast at middle school. Good for her. I hope she continues to love it and gets to skip the drama. You think she’ll be that lucky? Preston is ho-hum about school. He would rather be farming with his dad. Have your kids gone back yet?

I am still taking a break from posting recipes so I can focus on my sweet little boy.
Yep.
In case you haven’t heard…It’s a Boy!

He is such a good baby, oh my goodness. He only gets up twice at night to eat and is so happy when he is awake. The kids are in love with him. All I want to do is sit and snuggle him. So that’s exactly what I do.
I love this picture of him I shared on Instagram…


See why I have trouble doing anything but stare at him all day?

Totally Tasty Tuesdays

Potato harvest is in full swing.
I drove the big truck Saturday for about 5 hours and then we were done for the day. It was just a test run to make sure everything was working right. Starting on Monday, we go from 8 am to anywhere from 10 pm to midnight. Oh.so.excited.
It’s pretty cool to see the whole process from driving along side the harvester machine and getting loaded up in my truck to unloading into the equipment which sends it through into the cellars. I will take pics next week and share them with you.
I’m blessed to have a husband that farms so he can take Emma with him while I’m working and that Hannah and Preston are old enough to be home alone after school for a little while until Lance comes home.
It really is a fun job. Where else can you get paid to read? While I wait for my turn to load or unload or during breakdowns, I just pull out my book and wait it out.
Now let’s get on to the party!
