2 weeks, ya'll.2 weeks to baby time!Being induced has its perks.Like knowing I won't be in public and having my water break in the ice cream produce aisle.Or knowing I won't give birth in the middle of nowhere in the backseat of my vehicle (we're over an hour from the hospital).Or for sure having access to pain meds cuz this mama don't have nothin' to prove. I know there is still a chance this baby may come anytime and all that could be moot, but I have always been induced with … [Read more...]

First of all, did you all see the Virtual Baby Shower that was thrown by some of my best and favorite blogger friends? Start here at Life as a Lofthouse. Holly was the sweetie behind it all and joined by other great bloggers. I was so touched and thrilled to see all the treats and kind words they had for me.Thanks, girls!I only have 3 weeks left!I cannot wait to meet this lil baby, especially since we don't know the gender. I just know Preston will be thrilled for a brother, Emma … [Read more...]

Welcome to Totally Tasty Tuesdays! Six weeks to baby time! Yesterday, I got out all the neutral onesies, p.j.s, and blankets to wash (we aren't finding out what we are having). Such tiny clothes! I can't wait to hold my baby in them. Emma kept saying, "How cute is this?!" as she helped me unpack the baby clothes and blankets. I am excited for our new sweet addition but at the same tame, treasuring my sleep and normal routine. It'll be changed up very soon. And then comes the awesomeness … [Read more...]
No Bake Chewy Granola Bars
No Bake Chewy Granola Bars are a quick and easy recipe that is perfect for breakfast on the go or snack. You can customize them to your liking. So I have kinda let my snacky side take over during this pregnancy. And not the most healthy kind of snacking. We're talking my favorite candy bars and my favorite ice cream. But these no bake chewy granola bars are something I don't feel guilty about snacking on. They are chewy are you can make them any way you like. Add nuts or dried … [Read more...]

Shortcut Linzer Cookies
These are another favorite cookie of mine. They remind me of Christmas, since that is when my aunt makes her Linzer cookies and give them out to us. They are so melt-in-your mouth delicious. They are very dangerous to eat. I can never stop at just one!The traditional Linzer Cookie has two layers with the jam in between. I made a shortcut version that tastes just as amazing with less time and effort.I add finely crushed pecans, but you don't have to. But I think you really should. You … [Read more...]
