Potato Round-Up
In case you haven't heard, I live in the Middle of Nowhere, Idaho, USA. No joke. I came from a biggish city of Ogden, Utah and married a farmer. Should have seen it comin', but we moved to our current location 3 years after we were married. So there I was, city girl to the max (although I did enjoy camping and so forth) out in the boonies with a 9 month old baby girl and a farmer husband that I didn't see from 7 or 8 in the morning until 10 or so at night. His parents were a few miles up the … [Read more...]

Grilled Pizza
Homemade pizza makes me happy. It makes my kids happy. When I decided to try Grilled Pizza, it was an experience. A delicious one. I love Our Best Bites and when I discovered their pizza sauce, it changed my pizza life. I won't use any other sauce. Plus it makes a great dipping sauce for breadsticks. Now, the grilling of pizza isn't that hard. The trickiest part was not burning the crust while heating the toppings. Give it a try. Just make sure you have all your toppings ready to go. I love a … [Read more...]
Animal Fries {Totally Tasty Tuesdays}
I caught wind of these on The Girly Girl Cooks and she had me reeled in. The recipe uses Ore Ida Fast Food Fries. I've never heard of them, but now that I have, I plan on using them to dip in my homemade Frosty. I love doing that at Wendy's. Without the cheese and stuff, obviously. Try it sometime. Nevermind the weird looks you'll get. It won't matter. On to the fries...I've only been to In-N-Out Burger once. In Vegas. I don't remember these, but I love them in my kitchen. I didn't have Thousand … [Read more...]
Baked Zucchini Fries
I am sharing a healthy recipe today. Shocker. I know. I love zucchini. I love fries. Put them together and you get these guys. Healthy doesn't always equal tasty. These fries do match up healthy and tasty. These are baked, not fried and just as good. You can eat them as they are and be happy. Or you can dip them in ranch dressing and be happier. Your choice.1 1/2 c. Panko (Japanese Bread Crumbs)3/4 c. shredded Parmesan Cheese2 tsp. Italian Seasoning (I made my own)1 tsp. Kosher (coarse) salt1/4 … [Read more...]
Empty Tombs {Marshmallow Delights}
Empty Tombs are a delicious treat for Easter morning. They are also known as Marshmallow Delights. It's the perfect idea for teaching kids about Christ's Resurrection. I discovered these little treats last year after Easter and knew I would make them this year. They are perfect for an object lesson on Jesus Christ's death and Resurrection. As my kids and I made them, I explained what each step represented. The best was once we opened the "tombs" and saw that it was indeed empty. We made these … [Read more...]
Onion Rings
I have never made homemade onions rings until now. I know. Was I crazy? Yes. They are going to be made more often now. I can't even look at the frozen kind you cook in the oven. Nope. Not a glance. These are incredible. I completely ate them all. Well, my husband had a few. Anyone who knows me, knows that I can out eat my 6 foot, two hundred something hubby. It's what I do. Cracker Breaded Pork Chops
I found an amazing recipe for pork chops and had to share them. You could also use boneless skinless chicken breasts, too. That's what I plan to try next. The breading is so delicious. I am serious. I was eating the little bits left in the pan straight from the pan. Yep. Standing at the stove, eating bits of fried crackers. Don't judge me.Cracker Breaded Pork Chops2 eggs 1/4 cup milk 4 lean boneless pork chops 1/2 (16 ounce) package saltine crackers, crushed 1 cup oil for frying 2 … [Read more...]
