In conjunction with ConAgra Foods, I am sharing three great Easter recipes that George has created for all the ham and boiled eggs you may have leftover. I also have something fun for one of you. You'll just have to wait a little longer to find out what it is (hint-keep reading)...Bunnies in a Blanketby George Duran1 tube of Crescent rolls4 Hebrew National franks, cut in halfPre-heat oven … [Read more...]

Cookies 'N Cream Brownies is such an easy recipe. Why did I never think of it before? Oreos in brownies can only be good. You could also substitute any other cookie you want. Baked Risotto with Asparagus & Spinach
I've never eaten risotto. I've never made risotto. Until I saw this dish. I knew I needed to try it. I like asparagus and I like spinach. Together in this risotto, it's pretty tasty. Monkey Bread {Totally Tasty Tuesdays}
So called because it's so easy to make, a monkey could do it. Or your children. I love making this on Sunday afternoons. It's so easy and gives you more time to spend with your family instead of in the kitchen. My son helped me make these this time and he was so excited to use the knife. Huge event. Huge. The recipe says it may be doubled. I laugh everytime I read that. May be doubled? Ha! How about may be quadrupled, cuz I already double this. Sheesh. Like that's not already a given.For … [Read more...]
Cafe Rio Chicken
I recently ate at Costa Vida for the first time and fell in love with their Sweet Pork Salad. Then my sister-in-law told me about Cafe Rio and how good their food is. I came across this recipe from my BBF (Best Blogger Friend-yes it's such a thing, or it is now!) Holly's blog and it's so good! We ate it taco style, but you could do it as a salad as well. The most wonderful part is that it's cooked in a slow cooker. Those recipes always make me happy.Printable VersionIngredients2 lbs chicken … [Read more...]

Bavarian Peach Jello
If you like Jello, then you'll love this. My 6-year-old son Preston is a Jello expert and says this is his favorite kind that I've made. He even likes it more than this Mandarin Orange Jello. Sweet Rolls with Strawberries {Totally Tasty Tuesdays}
I like turning things that are meant for one thing into another. Like pie crust into the home of these meat pies, or bread sticks into these sweet rolls. It's fun and a little rebellious. Grandpa Gallegos’ Chile
My grandpa made the best chile. It's not chili. It's chile. Because it's Mexican food, not American. Traditionally, Chile doesn't have beans in it, just meat. But anyone in any culture tends to add lib when it comes to cooking and does what they want. We make tortillas and ham hocks and beans and eat them with this Chile. It can be frozen and that's what I love about this. A funny thing about my grandpa-he said that he'd live to 90 because that's a good age. He passed away just a few days after … [Read more...]
Mint Chocolate Cupcakes {Totally Tasty Tuesdays}
I am in love with cupcakes lately. I love everything about them. They are tasty, versatile, and just so darn cute. I came across this recipe from My Baking Addition. I had to make them and share them with you. I love mint chocolate food. Thin Mints from those darn Girl Scouts, the new minty 3 Musketeers bar, and this cupcake. Don't make these if you do not want to develop an addiction. Cupcakes 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour1 1/2 cups sugar1 1/2 teaspoons baking … [Read more...]
