These Gingerbread Twix Blondies are a great Christmas treat! Laced with Gingerbread Twix candy bars, you will taste Christmas in every bite.
Hey everyone, it’s Lori from A Pinch of Glitter. I hope that everyone is having a happy holiday season so far!
This year, on Thanksgiving Day, I was blessed with the birth of my baby boy. Let’s just say it wasn’t a traditional Thanksgiving for us by any means :). He was almost a month early, but he is doing well. (If you’re a sucker for birth stories like I am, you can read mine here!)
Because I’m so busy taking care of a newborn lately, it seems as if the holidays have kind of slipped by me this year, which I am kind of sad about! I haven’t been able to do lots of things that I normally would like to do for the holidays. I’m sorry, but I am NOT taking my newborn out in the cold or to super crowded places. It’s just not worth the risk!
Anyway, it’s nice to be able to have an extra hint of the holidays every now and then to help me get my Christmas fix 🙂 These Gingerbread Twix Blondies do just the trick. I can’t eat them without feeling the Christmas spirit! Try them, and I guarantee you will feel the same way!
- 1-1/2 cups flour
- ½ tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
- ½ tsp. ground ginger
- ⅛ tsp. ground cloves
- ½ c. + 2 Tbsp. butter, softened
- ½ c. brown sugar
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp. vanilla
- 3 Tbsp. molasses
- 10 fun-size Gingerbread Twix candy bars (available on the holiday candy aisle), cut into ¼'s
- Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9x13 pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, place all ingredients except the Twix, and mix with an electric mixer for one minute, or until all ingredients are combined. (yes, it really is that easy!!)
- Press mixture into the bottom of your greased pan. Press in Twix pieces, leaving the tops of the candy bars slightly exposed.
- Bake at 350 for 18-22 minutes, or until the edges are well browned. Enjoy!
