Beef Stew

October 16, 2014 by mandyrecipebox

Beef Stew

There's nothing quite like a bowl of hearty Beef Stew. A slice or two of some french bread makes for a comforting meal on a blustery day. I also have a giveaway with Hammer Stahl cutlery after the recipe!   It's starting to feel like fall! I've not yet turned on my heaters, but we do have an electric heater in the living room going to take the chill off and I love it. Yay for that crisp chill in the air! I am sure I will be singing a different tune come winter. But for now nothing … [Read more...]

Garlic and Parmesan Mushrooms

Garlic and Parmesan Mushrooms

These Garlic Parmesan Mushrooms make a appetizer or side to a juicy steak. It's such an easy recipe that you won't even need to write it down! As I've mentioned before, The Greenery restaurant in Ogden, UT is one of my very favorite places to eat when I go there. I love that I recreated my favorite sandwich and muffins from there and can eat them anytime I want in my own home, especially since it's over an hour away. Last time I ate there, my brother ordered these delicious sauteed mushrooms … [Read more...]

Greek Salad

January 15, 2014 by mandyrecipebox

Greek Salad

Greek Salad is a refreshing salad with chicken and a wonderful dressing all tossed with fresh vegetables. It makes a wonderful light meal. Are you all on the eating healthy train? I am partially. It's good to eat healthy, but it's good to have treats. It just is. Moderation is the key. We've all heard that. Salads are good as long as you eat them right. I can't handle a salad with just lemon juice on it (it's a thing) or just a splash of vinegar. You gotta have a good dressing. With yummy … [Read more...]

Lo Mein

Lo Mein

Lo Mein is so easy to make and will taste like it came from your favorite Chinese restaurant. I have said it before, but Chinese food is my favorite. I really love Sweet and Sour Chicken, Fried Rice, and Lo Mein Noodles. That is usually what I get when I go out to eat Chinese food. But now I can make all of those at home and I love that. You can make it, too, and save money. It tastes just like take-out to me. Lo Mein   Print Author: Mandy Bird Ingredients 2 T. soy … [Read more...]

Onion Rings

I have never made homemade onions rings until now. I know. Was I crazy? Yes. They are going to be made more often now. I can't even look at the frozen kind you cook in the oven. Nope. Not a glance. These are incredible. I completely ate them all. Well, my husband had a few. Anyone who knows me, knows that I can out eat my 6 foot, two hundred something hubby. It's what I do. Baked Asparagus

Baked Asparagus is the perfect way to eat it. If you've never tried it before, start with this easy recipe!   I had never tried asparagus until a couple months ago when my husband's sister Melanie made it for dinner. Nor had I ever wanted to. It just never looked appealing to me. My world has changed. It is such a simple dish, but that's the beauty of it. You know me and simple. We are like this *fingers crossed*.
