Fried Rice is the perfect side to any Asian dish. It's so easy to make and tastes just like it came from a restaurant. Last week, I shared a fantastic recipe for Sweet and Sour Chicken. This rice goes perfectly with it. Like the chicken, this rice tastes just like it came from a Chinese restaurant. The secret is the sesame oil. I love that I can make this at home. It's so simple, but this is the first homemade fried rice I've tasted that tastes like it came from … [Read more...]
Orange Chicken For Dummies
This Orange Chicken is one of the most popular recipes on my blog, and for good reason! A slow cooker meal that is completely delicious is bound to be awesome. Lance works in Wyoming during the cold season. He's home maybe 2 or 3 days and then he's gone about 2 weeks. Or longer. Which stinks. His family is nearby, which helps. Lance's brother and his wife live right behind us and always help out when needed. Like when my bath tub drain lever breaks off. Or my … [Read more...]

Get Yo’ Man Chicken!
I saw this on an episode of Down Home With the Neeley's and knew I had to make it. It is called "Get Yo' Man Chicken" because when you make this for a man, he will be yours. It is really good. I love it over the rice. It just tastes awesome. You can use white or brown rice or a combo of both, like I do. I can't totally handle the texture of straight brown rice yet, but I'm working on it. Thankfully my husband and kids like the combo, too. It makes for easier cooking.Get Yo' Man Chicken2 … [Read more...]
