I love homemade fresh salsa. So I decided to make some this year and freeze it. I made this recipe up after looking online at some other recipes to get the general idea. The beauty of it is that you can add or subtract your own ingredients or amounts. Don't like cilantro? Don't put it in. Like garlic? Add it. Super easy and fast. This Slow Cooker Chile Verde is legit. Slow cooker recipes are the best. Just put it in and walk away. This is a favorite recipe of mine. Growing up, my dad would make ham hock and beans and homemade tortillas (like Grandma) all the time. I loved it and still do. My great-aunt Mary would make this chile verde with pork and I loved it.
