Heavenly. Rich. Addicting. That's how I describe these bars. Because Oh.My.Caramel-y Goodness. They are rich and so I can only handle one of these, even though I would love more. They are just as good, if not better the next day. I am sorry for sharing this recipe as I am sure more than one of you will curse me when you make them. I curse my mother for these. Even though I am making them right now.Chocolate Caramel BarsCrust:1 1/2 c. flour1 1/2 c. brown sugar1 1/2 c. oats1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. soft … [Read more...]
Dessert Pizza
I really love dessert pizza. I went to eat at a resteraunt and they had it there. So I decided to make it myself. Not much to it. I used store bought pizza dough, however, next time I will use homemade dough. It will taste so much better. Here is a recipe for the dough. Just make it into a round pizza shape instead of the breadsticks.Dessert Pizza1 crust for pizza1 can pie filling of your choicevanilla frosting (I used store bought and nuked it a little to make it easy to drizzle)Prepare … [Read more...]
Chocolate Filled Croissants
How I never thought of these is beyond me. So simple and so amazing. Again, I cannot ever eat only one. Especially when they are warm out of the oven. My mom made these when I was visiting her one day and I am so glad she did. Hand Pies
To go along with last week's post are these delicious hand pies. I will bet you will want more than one. You use the same pie dough and add your favorite pie filling instead of the meat mixture of the previous post. So easy and so good. I chose to make these with raspberry pie filling, since my husband likes rasperries. You could use lemon, blueberry, or make your own such as strawberry-rhubarb. Any filling you would use in a traditional pie can be used here. No plates or forks needed. Hand … [Read more...]
Peanut Butter & Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
These cookies are pretty perfect. You get peanut butter chips and chocolate chips in one cookie. Not much can top that. These are adapted from Quaker Oats. I could eat the dough all on its own. Peanut Butter & Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies 1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, softened 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1½ cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda ½ teaspoon salt3 cups of Quaker Oats (Quick) 1 cup milk … [Read more...]
Short Stack Cookies
I love an author by the name of Joanne Fluke. She writes these great books that are known as culinary mysteries. They are mysteries with some kind of cooking, baking, etc. in the storyline. I read one called Blueberry Muffin Murder and found the recipe for these Short Stack Cookies in it. These cookies may make your kids think this... But don't be fooled. These are cookies. They taste like little pancakes with butter and maple syrup on them. Or rather, in them. Short Stack … [Read more...]
Banana-rama Cake
Banana bread is excellent, yes, but sometimes you need something else. Like banana muffins, or this Banana-rama cake. It is so moist and soft, oh my goodness! It makes a cookie sheet's worth, so it is perfect for taking to a potluck dinner. It has a cream cheese frosting that goes perfectly with it. Or you could use a buttercream frosting instead, if you aren't a cream cheese fan. 4.0 from 1 reviews Banana-rama Cake Print Prep time 10 mins Cook time 20 mins … [Read more...]

I stumbled across a fantastic blog called All Home Cooking. All Year Long. I love it! Michelle cooks pretty much everything her family eats from scratch.
