This is my very first guest post so I am super excited and also super nervous and truth be told kind of at a loss as to what to write. But in true chatterbox fashion (according to my Mom I’ve never met a … [Read more...]

Oreo Pudding Cookies are made up of Oreo Cookies 'N Creme Pudding, Hershey's Cookies 'n Cream bar, and chocolate chips. Heavenly goodness. Just ask The Girl Who Ate Everything. S’mores Bars {Totally Tasty Tuesdays}
Nothing says summertime like S'mores. When I saw these S'mores Bars from Cooking With My Kid, I knew they'd be gracing my kitchen often. They are amazing. My husband Lance even liked them, you know, the guy who never gives much ado about food? Yeah, him. He said they were "pretty good" all calm-like. In Lance-language, that means they're freaking awesome. And they are. My kids and I gobbled them up like nothing else. They're that good. I mean, just look...1 stick of butter, room temperature1/4 … [Read more...]
Old Fashioned Donuts
I have never made homemade donuts. I needed a treat to bring to my book club and was flipping through some Taste of Home magazines. Then I found one I had marked and it was for these donuts (or doughnuts if that's how you spell it). I thought, "why not?" and they were so good! They are a cake donut, so if you can make cut-out cookies and you can fry food, you can make these. I got about 18 out of my batch. I didn't use the donut holes, though. I just kept making more donuts instead by smooshing … [Read more...]

Empty Tombs {Marshmallow Delights}
Empty Tombs are a delicious treat for Easter morning. They are also known as Marshmallow Delights. It's the perfect idea for teaching kids about Christ's Resurrection. I discovered these little treats last year after Easter and knew I would make them this year. They are perfect for an object lesson on Jesus Christ's death and Resurrection. As my kids and I made them, I explained what each step represented. The best was once we opened the "tombs" and saw that it was indeed empty. We made these … [Read more...]
