Super Bowl Goods Round-Up
I've said it before: I'm not a fan of watching football. Or any sport, really. Except soccer. I can watch soccer. Live. Not on t.v. So I am rounding up foods I've made that would be great for the Super Bowl.Or watching Pretty Little Liars.{Just click on the picture to go to the recipe}Those are just a few that would make great party food.Go Patriots!{I had to say that-it's my husband's team} … [Read more...]

Warm Lemon Pudding Cake
The name really says it all. Warm Lemon Pudding Cake. Made with lemon pudding, this comes out of the oven so warm and oozing with pudding. Sort of like a molten lava cake. Only this is a regular sized cake with the pudding coming out the bottom of the cake. Simply luscious. 5.0 from 2 reviews Warm Lemon Pudding Cake Print Prep time 10 mins Cook time 1 hour Total time 1 hour 10 mins Author: Mandy Bird : Dessert Serves: 15 Ingredients 1 … [Read more...]
Easy Cinnamon Rolls with Eggnog Buttercream Frosting
I am in love with this treat. I created it and it's fantastic. If you don't like the flavor of Eggnog (rum), then you can can use milk instead of the eggnog and vanilla extract (or other flavor) in place of the rum extract. The great thing about this recipe (other than the frosting) is that it uses Rhodes frozen bread dough. Just put the loaves in a greased loaf pan, cover with plastic wrap, and stick into the fridge overnight or at least 12 hours to thaw. Then just pull it out and roll out and … [Read more...]
Crescent Cookies
These Crescent Cookies just scream "Christmas!" to me. My aunt's family is from Germany and she makes these for us all every Christmas. Only her way takes one week. Yes. One whole week. She doesn't use any spoons, mixers, nothing. Just her hands. And she makes a ton of them. Then they have to sit in the dark for a week. I look forward to them every year. She also makes another kind called "Linzer Cookies" They are similar to these Crescent Cookies only they are two layers with a cutout on the … [Read more...]
Copycat Almond Roca
Copycat Almond Roca tastes just like the real thing. It's a great treat to make for the goody table at Christmas. I have never made much candy come the holidays. I make baked goods, but not a lot of candy. I have made peanut brittle and peanut clusters and caramel, but that's about it. I wanted to find a recipe for toffee of some sort. So I did a search and came up with this Almond Roca recipe. Oh. goodness. It tastes just like the real thing that you buy in the canister. It was so easy as … [Read more...]

Guest Blogger: Fantastical Sharing of Recipes
Most of you know that I'm getting new kitchen cabinets and counter tops (eeeee!). That means my kitchen is a dysfunctional mess. That also means I won't be doing much cooking. My poor family will be stuck with Schwan's food and whatever else I can figure out that won't require much prep work. I will be using my slow cooker if it's a dump-it-in kinda recipe. So I will be having some guest bloggers to help me out. Like today. Take it away, Sarah!Hi everyone! I'm Sarah … [Read more...]
Reese’s Fudge Pie
Thanksgiving is coming right up. The homemade stuffing and Pretzel Salad are my favorites. And the pie. Oh the pie. Pumpkin. All.The.Way.Then I came across this bad boy. The variety of pies at Thanksgiving Dinner is negotiable. Some what. As long as there's pumpkin, the rest I'm fine with being there. But no pumpkin? Well that's just wrong. I can't even comprehend that. With that being said, this pie would be a fabulous addition to the pie collection on Thanksgiving.Crust:9 graham … [Read more...]
