Easy Cinnamon Rolls with Eggnog Buttercream Frosting

Easy Cinnamon Rolls with Eggnog Buttercream Frosting

I am in love with this treat. I created it and it's fantastic. If you don't like the flavor of Eggnog (rum), then you can can use milk instead of the eggnog and vanilla extract (or other flavor) in place of the rum extract. The great thing about this recipe (other than the frosting) is that it uses Rhodes frozen bread dough. Just put the loaves in a greased loaf pan, cover with plastic wrap, and stick into the fridge overnight or at least 12 hours to thaw. Then just pull it out and roll out and … [Read more...]

Vanilla Pudding Cinnamon Rolls

Vanilla Pudding Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon Rolls are just such a luscious treat. They are so versatile, too. Eat them for a dessert, an afternoon snack, or breakfast. There are many recipes for cinnamon rolls. I found this recipe from Mel's Kitchen Cafe. She also has a recipe for Cream Cheese Frosting, but I don't like cream cheese frosting. At. All. Not on any cake or any other dessert. Never have. So I used the tub of Betty Crocker Vanilla frosting. Perfect for me. Rolls:½ cup warm water2 tablespoons active dry yeast2 … [Read more...]

Bubble Up Enchiladas

Bubble Up Enchiladas

Canned biscuits make preparing these Bubble Up Enchiladas a cinch. You won't believe how fast they will disappear! You will be making these quite often. Let me just get that out there. They can be made with one hand tied behind your back. Or by your husband when you are out harvesting potatoes, driving a big ol' dump truck while Tigger (that's his name) loads you up from the potato harvester machine. Or something like that. Did you get that these are easy to make? Plus the kids … [Read more...]

Grilled Pizza

Grilled Pizza

Homemade pizza makes me happy. It makes my kids happy. When I decided to try Grilled Pizza, it was an experience. A delicious one. I love Our Best Bites and when I discovered their pizza sauce, it changed my pizza life. I won't use any other sauce. Plus it makes a great dipping sauce for breadsticks. Now, the grilling of pizza isn't that hard. The trickiest part was not burning the crust while heating the toppings. Give it a try. Just make sure you have all your toppings ready to go. I love a … [Read more...]

Parmesan & Garlic Biscuits

Parmesan & Garlic Biscuits

Great pasta always includes a great bread of some sort served along with it. I saw these on Ry Ry's Recipes and adapted it a little. The results are these flaky biscuits. Perfect along side pizza or pasta. I use the garlic seasoning all the time when I make bread sticks or pizza. They come together in minutes and everyone will love them.3 Tbsp. butter, melted1 tsp. minced dry onion1 Tbsp. garlic seasoning*1 can of refrigerated biscuits (I used the flaky layered kind)*Garlic Seasoning1/2 c. … [Read more...]

Cinnamon Sugar Pull-Apart Bread

Cinnamon Sugar Pull-Apart Bread

Cinnamon Sugar Pull-Apart Bread is so easy to make and so worth the carbs! Serve it for breakfast, dessert or a pre-dinner snack. You'll see... I did it. I finally made this infamous bread. I saw it on Joy the Baker  and I couldn't get it out of my head. I had to do it. Oh.my.word. It looks complicated, but it's not. Even if it were, it doesn't even matter. It would be worth it. My son and I ate most of it before dinner (like right before dinner). We couldn't help ourselves. Fresh out of the … [Read more...]

Baked Cheese Sandwiches

Baked Cheese Sandwiches

More cheese comin' at ya! Last time I posted an Easy Cheesy Chicken Casserole that is a pleaser. Well this cheesy sandwich will be as well. I found them on Pillsbury.com. The best part is that you can adapt it pretty much any way you please. Use this as starting point and just add whatever you want: deli ham, deli turkey, or change up the cheeses. My kids loved it just with the cheese, but I'm sure they'd like it with some lunch meat in it as well. I sprinkled mine with sesame seeds, but next … [Read more...]

Empty Tombs {Marshmallow Delights}

Empty Tombs {Marshmallow Delights}

Empty Tombs are a delicious treat for Easter morning. They are also known as Marshmallow Delights. It's the perfect idea for teaching kids about Christ's Resurrection. I discovered these little treats last year after Easter and knew I would make them this year. They are perfect for an object lesson on Jesus Christ's death and Resurrection. As my kids and I made them, I explained what each step represented. The best was once we opened the "tombs" and saw that it was indeed empty. We made these … [Read more...]

Monkey Bread {Totally Tasty Tuesdays}

April 12, 2011 by mandyrecipebox

Monkey Bread {Totally Tasty Tuesdays}

So called because it's so easy to make, a monkey could do it. Or your children. I love making this on Sunday afternoons. It's so easy and gives you more time to spend with your family instead of in the kitchen. My son helped me make these this time and he was so excited to use the knife. Huge event. Huge. The recipe says it may be doubled. I laugh everytime I read that. May be doubled? Ha! How about may be quadrupled, cuz I already double this. Sheesh. Like that's not already a given.For … [Read more...]
